Warehouse Generalist responsible for using material handling equipment to move products, equipment, and materials, following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Lifting forks for pallet placement into racks above floor height
- Picking palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and setting up for outbound shipment
- Recording materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) system
- Loading and unloading materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device
- Reading and following computerized work orders to determine quantities, types of products to be shipped and the location of requested items in the warehouse
- Documenting and reporting damages and discrepancies to supervisors or leads
- Packing, sealing, and labeling materials/pallets for shipping using Radio Frequency (RF) scanning equipment
- Completing daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
- Monitoring battery charge and maintaining and cleaning batteries
- Alerting supervisors of any issues with the product or materials
- Helping clean and organize the warehouse
