Member of Technical Staff - ML Research Engineer, Performance Optimization

Liquid is building efficient AI systems at every scale, and we're looking for a Member of Technical Staff - ML Research Engineer to join our team. The role involves writing high-performance GPU kernels for inference workloads, optimizing alternative architectures, and implementing the latest techniques from research into low-level GPU kernels.

Requirements

• Experience writing high-performance, custom GPU kernels for training or inference
• Understanding of low-level profiling tools and how to tune kernels with such tools
• Experience integrating GPU kernels into frameworks like PyTorch, bridging the gap between high-level models and low-level hardware performance
• Solid understanding of memory hierarchy and optimized for compute and memory-bound workloads
• Implemented fine-grain optimizations for a target hardware, e.g. targeting tensor cores
