Supervising Social Worker - Fostering

Liquid Personnel is seeking a Supervising Social Worker to join a small and friendly Independent Fostering team in Nottingham. This role involves supervising, managing, supporting, developing, recruiting, and retaining foster parents. The Supervising Social Worker will provide high-level support to foster carers, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people, promoting compassionate relationships, safeguarding, and strength-based approaches.

Requirements

• Three years post-qualification experience in a childcare work team working in the areas of Family Support, Child Protection, and Looked After Children or Fostering and Adoption
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and procedures
• Knowledge of social work methodologies
• Communication and presentation skills sufficient to convey convincing argument
• Ability to evaluate and reflect on own practice
• Ability to form and maintain constructive working relationships
• Ability to develop and maintain professional, supportive relationships with Foster Carers
• Ability to prioritise and organise work
• A full driving licence
• Ability to work as a team member
• Evidence of relevant ongoing post-qualifying training
• Experience working with a diverse service user group
• Knowledge of IT systems and applications for childcare teamwork
