Job Description
The CNC Operator will operate equipment in the Mill Shop, create replenishment requests for raw materials, and perform related material handling duties.
Requirements
- Load and operate CNC router table, table saw, band saw, cutoff saw and other equipment necessary to fabricate production parts in the Mill Shop area.
- Create CNC machine nests to optimize machine run time and obtain best utilization of sheet goods for the router operation
- Prepare weekly raw material replenishment requests to assure target inventory levels are maintained
- Perform periodic maintenance and repair on Mill Shop equipment
- Maintain clean and orderly workspace
- Participate in periodic inventory counts for materials in the Mill Shop work area
- Operate material handling equipment in order to off load and put up incoming raw materials and to transfer work in progress to other shops or the stockroom
- Cross train to support other work teams in Lamination, Cut and Grind, Patching and Assembly teams
- May be called upon to perform other material handling and light building and equipment maintenance functions plant wide.
