Data Engineer

Role Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join a high performing team supporting a government healthcare client. In this role, you will design scalable data solutions and extract, transform, load (ETL) processes, manage critical application databases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for data integrity, availability, and performance.

What You Will Do

Supports data architecture for large-scale application programming interfaces (APIs) and web application back-end data stores. Designs, builds, and maintains PySpark ETL processes to supply application data for usage in the web application via Amazon Web Services (AWS) Glue.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations research, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with entity relationship diagrams (ERDs).
• Experience creating or working with data cleansing pipelines.
• Superior communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to absorb large amounts of new technical and policy knowledge without a lot of guidance.
