Enterprise Data Engineer - Clearance Required

Role Overview

LMI is seeking an Enterprise Data Engineer with demonstrated experience designing and operating production data pipelines and analytics platforms to support a United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) mission partner. The Enterprise Data Engineer will design, build, and operate the data backbone that powers analytics, dashboards, and AI/ML capabilities for a fast-moving technical organization in direct support of the warfighter.

What You Will Do

Design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytics platforms; architect and implement ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines; design data models; operate the platform with rigor; work hands-on in a modern Microsoft data stack; implement data governance, security, and access controls.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on data engineering experience in enterprise or DoD environments
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala) for data transformation and pipeline development
• Demonstrated experience with Azure data services: Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, and Azure SQL
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or equivalent lakehouse platforms
• Experience designing dimensional and lakehouse data models for analytics and BI consumption
• Working knowledge of CI/CD for data (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), source control, and infrastructure-as-code
