Job Description
LĂ©man Manhattan is seeking an Upper School Science Teacher to join its vibrant, collaborative learning community. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching an IB Science and a strong commitment to anti-bias and anti-racism work.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Education
- Experience teaching an IB Science preferred
- At least 3 years teaching experience in high-performing school preferred
- Experience interpreting and using multiple forms of data to inform instructions
- Knowledge and experience developing and assessing curriculum
- Experience with integration of instructional technology
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Effective organizational skills
- Ability to monitor student progress and report information in a timely manner
- Ability to manage, delegate and monitor tasks
- Ability to mentor and coach students, acts as a student achievement advocate and advisor
- Highly developed collaborative skills and the ability to work well with others
