As a Resident Engineer Rail and Transit at Lochner, you will lead and manage rail/transit projects, oversee quality control, and enforce safety protocols. You will also provide technical direction and guidance to staff and subordinate engineers/inspectors, and supervise field staff to ensure project goals are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineers (PE) license required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- 10+ years of resident engineering experience managing rail/transit construction projects
- Strong understanding of stations, facilities, rail systems, including communications, train control, OCS, traction power, and electrical design
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Valid Driver’s License required
