Roadway Design Engineer

Lochner is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to join their team in Lenexa, KS. The ideal candidate will have a BSCE degree, PE licensure, and 4+ years of experience in roadway design and plan preparation for transportation projects. The role involves overseeing analyses, developing calculations, and preparing contract documents for KDOT and other DOT clients.

Requirements

• BSCE degree required
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• 4+ years of demonstrated experience in roadway design and plan preparation for transportation projects
• Experience in design software such as MicroStation and Open Roads designer
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Technical writing ability to prepare engineering reports
