Aircraft Mechanic I (Sheet Metal) performs aircraft sheet metal repairs, maintenance, and overhaul to ensure airworthiness. Requires 4 years of experience or A&P License with 3 years experience. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently and be a citizen of the U.S.
Requirements
- Four (4) years of documented experience performing aircraft sheet metal repairs on DHS/DoD aircraft platforms
- A&P License with three (3) years documented experience performing aircraft maintenance on fixed or rotary wing aircraft
- Ability to perform sheet metal, plastic, and composite depot level repairs on DHS and/or DoD aircraft
- Ability to perform major airframe repairs or modifications
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Ability to form, shape, and fabricate aircraft stringers, bulkheads, access panels, doublers, inspection plates, box-beams, fairings/cowlings for fuselage applications and on primary flight control surfaces
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Shall be a citizen of the U.S.
- Possess computer skills to include basic knowledge sufficient to complete internet searches and prepare/edit documents utilizing word processing or spreadsheet applications
