Job Description
Lonestar Lighting & Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Photometric Specialist to support lighting design and project execution through the development of accurate photometric layouts and lighting calculations.
Requirements
- Create photometric layouts and lighting calculations using industry software
- Review project drawings, plans, and specifications to determine lighting requirements and performance criteria
- Ensure lighting layouts meet energy codes, municipal requirements, and project performance standards
- Collaborate with quotations, project management, and sales teams to support accurate project scope development
- Recommend lighting products, fixture types, and layout strategies to optimize performance, cost, and constructability
- Maintain organized documentation of layouts, calculations, and supporting design files
- Assist in product substitutions and value engineering opportunities while maintaining lighting performance requirements
- Communicate technical lighting information clearly to internal teams, customers, and manufacturers
- Stay current on lighting technology advancements, energy code changes, and design best practices
- Support project kickoff and design review meetings as needed
