The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of large-scale production machinery within an industrial laundry facility. This role performs advanced mechanical, electrical, plumbing, boiler, welding, HVAC, and general facilities maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and efficient operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial processing or production equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, maintenance planning, and work-order scheduling.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Working knowledge of general facility systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and repair manuals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with production staff, management, and contractors.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 7 hours in an 8-hour shift) and work effectively in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
