Job Description
Leading Managed Services and Outsourced IT provider seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join this dynamic delivery team providing services to SME clients across a range of industries.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator
- CCNA and/or CCNP Certified
- Switching and routing with strong skills in VLAN network administration, implementation, and routing architecture
- Solid understanding of current network security technologies and experience in identifying vulnerabilities, creating firewall rules, and configuring systems to enhance security posture
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
- Ability to configure basic elements on Windows/Linux servers in regard to network or security requirements
- Datacentre networking and Cloud networking highly desirable (Azure)
- Exposure to Meraki SD-WAN and Wireless solutions and or Cisco cloud delivered firewall, Secure Endpoint (AMP) and Umbrella
- Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (eg Powershell, JSON, Python, Perl)
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS or SonicOS)
