Instructor Theological Studies

The Department of Theological Studies invites highly qualified applicants for new teaching positions in the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts at Loyola Marymount University to begin Fall semester, 2026.

Requirements

• Teach three courses per semester
• Hold weekly office hours
• Join regular cohort workshops with others in the positions
• Demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching
• Develop student reading and writing capacities
• Commit to working with diverse student and community populations
• Teach lower-division and upper-division courses in Theological Inquiry and Faith & Reason
• Teach specific religious texts and primary sources
• Explore enduring questions in religious thought and practice
