Engineering Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead some of our product development teams, responsible for the day-to-day people leadership, delivery, and technical execution of complex, business-critical software.

What You Will Do

You will mentor development and quality engineers, partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Operations, and translate roadmap priorities into predictable, high-quality delivery.

Requirements

• Validated experience leading and developing software and quality engineers in a delivery-focused environment
• Strong understanding of agile delivery, planning, and estimation techniques
• Experience operating in complex, regulated, or data-heavy domains is highly desirable
• Ability to make pragmatic decisions and handle challenging priorities
• Solid engineering background with deep experience in software development stacks (preferably Java, Vue) and CI/CD release pipelines
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-based infrastructure (preferably AWS)
• Comfortable reviewing designs, challenging solutions, and supporting technical decision-making
• Experience working with non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and resilience
• Clear, confident communicator with engineers and non-technical partners
• Able to influence without authority and navigate matrixed organisations
• Calm and effective under pressure, particularly during incidents or delivery challenges
• Demonstrates strong ownership, integrity, and customer focus
