Job Description
Mental Health Specialists deliver direct care services under the supervision of a Therapist or a Mental Health Professional to residents in treatment. They report directly to their unit's Supervisor regarding shift scheduling, training, daily activity schedules, and house maintenance.
Requirements
- Ensure compassionate, culturally sensitive services
- Ensure all residents are present and on time for clinical activities
- Create a culture of care that discourages protective holds and escorts
- Implement Behavioral Management Plan with fidelity
- Actively participate in treatment team meetings
- Implement personalized interventions in each resident's Active Treatment Plan
- Maintain structure, cleanliness, and organization of the house or unit
- Implement milieu model with fidelity
- Provide life skill training to residents
- Interact positively with residents, families, staff, and stakeholders
