Medical Records Associate

Maintaining patient files, responding to requests for medical records, and processing letters and reports. Communication with site leaders, providers, patients, and techs on various Medical Records issues. Fax and mail reports, maintain all imaging scheduling records, and verify HIPPA information for all patients.

Requirements

• Respond to emails/phone messages from providers and patients.
• Review medical records to ensure accuracy, clinical pertinence, completeness, and availability.
• Process incoming requests from patients and outside facilities for medical records.
• Communicate with site leaders, providers, patients, and techs on Medical Records issues.
• Follow medical record standards and policies.
• Determine medical record format at patients' request.
• Fax and mail reports.
• Maintain imaging scheduling records and verify HIPPA information.
• Request reports/images for current patients for continual care.
