Technician II - Commercial Audiovisual

The AV Technician II is responsible for delivering high-quality audiovisual installations and providing reliable technical support across a variety of commercial environments.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial AV installation or a comparable technical field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of audiovisual components, signal types, and structured cabling practices.
• Proficiency in soldering, crimping, and compression terminations.
• Ability to read AV drawings, schematics, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with major AV manufacturers and product lines.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts including IP addressing, MAC addresses, and common network hardware.
• Strong computer skills and comfort with technical software tools.
• Demonstrated consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in termination and installation methods.
• Ability to serve as a lead technician and manage day-to-day onsite tasks with minimal supervision.
• Experience with structured cabling testing, toning, and verification.
• Experience commissioning AV systems and completing documentation and checklists.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.
