The Director of Procurement is responsible for developing and executing the organization’s card acquisition and purchasing strategy. This role oversees sourcing, vendor relationships, pricing strategy, and inventory acquisition to ensure a consistent, cost-effective supply of cards aligned with business objectives.
Requirements
- Develop and execute a comprehensive card procurement and buying strategy
- Source cards through distributors, direct partners, secondary markets, and strategic channels
- Build and manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and strategic partners
- Negotiate pricing, terms, volume discounts, and purchasing agreements
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and demand signals to optimize buying decisions
- Collaborate with operations, inventory, and finance teams to align purchasing with demand planning and cash flow
- Oversee purchasing schedules, order volumes, and inventory acquisition targets
- Identify new sourcing opportunities and partnerships to expand supply and reduce risk
- Ensure accurate documentation, purchasing controls, and vendor compliance
- Continuously improve procurement processes for efficiency, scalability, and margin optimization
