Youth Mentor (6578)

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is looking for Youth Mentors to work with at-risk youth in group homes. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with challenging behaviors and can make an impact in the lives of youth. This is a full-time position with a 2pm-10pm schedule and weekends.

Requirements

• Provide supportive environment for youth
• Assist children with daily routine tasks
• Transport children for appointments or field trips
• Develop and plan daily recreational and social activities
• Consult and communicate with shift leaders and professional staff
• Participate in in-service training sessions and staff meetings
• Assign and supervise chores
• Interview and respond to critical incidents
• Document incidents and maintain daily records
