Job Description
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota seeks a Full Time Positive Support Specialist to work in our Specialized Community Support programs, providing support to individuals with intensive medical, behavioral and mental health needs. The role involves assisting individuals to be more independent, advocating for their rights, and engaging in trauma-informed care.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals
- Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Knowledge of local community resources is a plus
- Must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a driver's license
