Join Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota as a Case Aide and assist case management personnel to provide case management services to families experiencing homelessness. Provide support, resources, and counseling services to program participants and help them develop goals for stability and self-sufficiency.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years' experience in providing direct or indirect social services.
- Training and/or experience working with homeless or low-income households is desired.
- A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Flexibility and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, positively, and professionally with participants, providers, family members, and others from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work well independently, with excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to perform non-traditional tasks while meeting participant needs.
- Knowledge of counseling theory and techniques, chemical dependency treatment, physical or sexual abuse treatment.
- Knowledge of the Harm Reduction/Housing First model and commitment to that model.
