Technician - MacAllister Student

This position is an intense educational experience involving on-line, classroom, and hands-on practical experiences over the course of 11 months with opportunities in both MI and IN.

Requirements

• Participate in classroom, lab and hands-on shop training aligned with MacAllister’s technical and safety standards
• Learn foundational systems including hydraulics, engines and ignition, powertrain, fuel, and braking
• Complete written and practical assessments to determine knowledge and skill development
• Work alongside experienced technicians and mentors to reinforce classroom concepts
• Meet expectations for safety, quality, and attendance throughout the program
• Maintain tools and equipment, adhering to cleanliness and organization standards in the shop and lab spaces
• Attend career development classes focusing on communication, teamwork and long-term career planning
• Pass mechanical aptitude and reading comprehension assessments
• Reliable transportation to/from assigned branch to classroom learning location(s)
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift during the training period
