Junior AI Application Engineer – AI Products (LLM & RAG) (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Junior AI Application Engineer to join our team and develop AI-powered solutions and intelligent product features using modern machine learning and generative AI technologies. In this role, you will work at the intersection of AI engineering, backend development, product development, and cloud deployment to build production-ready AI systems that create real business value.

Requirements

• Completed degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a comparable technical field
• Programming knowledge in Python and modern backend frameworks
• Experience with KI, machine learning, and generative KI applications
• First experience in developing scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices
• Practice in containerization and DevOps
• Knowledge in RAG, vector databases, and retrieval technologies
• Touchpoints with relevant frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face)
• Knowledge in monitoring, observability, as well as evaluation and optimization of LLM systems
• Very good German and English skills for workshops and communication
