Diesel Mechanic - Make up to $35/hr

Mack Industries is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their Akron, Ohio Ready Mix Maintenance team. The role involves maintaining a fleet of ready mix mixers, trucks, semis, company vehicles, and heavy equipment, including annual inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance. The position requires adherence to a strict shop and safety standards.

Requirements

• Perform fleet repairs, address drive-ability issues, perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Maintain equipment integrity and operational by maintain a routine maintenance schedule
• Perform repairs and replacements of fleet that includes but not limited to engines, transmissions, steering, hydraulic, braking, lighting and electrical systems
• Make road calls on disabled company vehicles and perform repair on the road
• Complete annual maintenance and as needed repairs to all company fleet vehicles, small and heavy equipment
• Maintains the appearance of the company fleet through routine maintenance
• Maintains inventory of parts and tools
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently, and perform extended periods of time.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, squat, crawl, climb, and kneel.
• Must be able to work in a construction environment, seasonal weather conditions, and for extended times
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to work independently
• High school diploma or equivalent
