Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (Scrub/Scout) to join our perioperative team at The Orthopaedic Institute at Macquarie University Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe and effective perioperative care to patients undergoing orthopaedic surgical procedures.
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2 years' perioperative experience in a scrub/scout role
- Sound knowledge of orthopaedic instrumentation, implants and surgical techniques
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercise independent professional judgement and think critically under pressure
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to prioritise in a fast-paced theatre environment
