Performs specialized duties involved in processing and maintaining voter registration and election information.
Requirements
- Has knowledge and assists with interpretation of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA-Motor Voter) and knowledge of voter registration rules and regulations outlined in the Illinois Election Code.
- Responsible for the maintenance and retention of all election and voter registration documents.
- Provides in office voter registration and will administer the voter oath.
- Provides training for deputy registrars.
- Daily scanning and processing of activities within the IVRS and current voter registration program.
- Scanning of voter applications after each election to update voter history.
- Assists with election judges during each election.
- Aid on election night.
- Performs any of the duties and responsibilities assigned by the Deputy Clerk of Voter Registration.
