Job Description
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials around a warehouse, factory, or yard. Load and unload materials from trucks, shelves, racks, and production areas. Perform pre-operation checks on the forklift and report any defects.
Requirements
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach trucks, order pickers) safely and efficiently
- Load and unload materials from trucks, shelves, racks, and production areas
- Transport raw materials to production lines and move finished goods to storage
- Stack and organize pallets and products in designated storage areas
- Perform pre-operation checks on the forklift and report any defects
- Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and radio frequency (RF) scanners to track inventory movements accurately
- Weigh materials and record weight and movement data as required
- Adhere to all safety guidelines
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Assist in routine inventory counts
