Job Description
Magical is an agentic automation platform dedicated to delivering AI agents for healthcare. They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build the foundational systems powering their AI agents, focusing on platform engineering to build scalable, reliable solutions for healthcare workflows. The role involves building core systems, integrating AI models, and owning backend services end-to-end.
Requirements
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, databases, and asynchronous architectures
- Strong bias towards action and prioritizing projects
- High degree of agency and ownership
- Studied Computer Science (or related field) or dropped out
- Located in SF or willing to relocate
