Nurse Unit Managers assist with the direct supervision of resident care activities, coordinating nursing services with facility administration and community agencies. They also assist with the responsibility for nursing service compliance with facility policy and procedure as well as Federal and State regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Currently licensed by the State of Indiana as a registered or licensed practical nurse
- Experience or training in nursing services administration, rehabilitation or pediatric nursing is highly desirable
- One or more years of demonstrated ability in nursing administration and/or supervision in a health facility
- Ability to read and write in English, communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies, and remain calm under stress
- Physical abilities: bending, lifting, walking, grasping, fine hand coordination, ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures, ability to hear and respond to pages
