Mechanical Design Engineer - Motion Division

Magnum Venus Products (MVP) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support R&D initiatives, product improvements, and engineering documentation updates in our Motion Division. MVP Motion Engineering designs custom manufacturing equipment for the composites industry.

Requirements

• Lead and support research and development projects, from concept generation to prototype build and testing.
• Identify, design, and implement product improvements to enhance reliability, performance, and manufacturability.
• Create and maintain detailed 3D models and engineering drawings in accordance with MVP standards.
• Partner with the internal machine shop and production teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and optimized for manufacturability.
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analyses, and root cause investigations for product issues.
• Support engineering change requests (ECRs) and documentation updates through MVP’s PLM/ERP systems.
• Participate in prototype testing, data collection, and validation reporting for new and improved products.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Operations, and Quality to ensure successful implementation of design changes and new product introductions.
• Assist in vendor communication and component selection, particularly for mechanical and fluid handling components.
