Welder Apprentice / Welder Helper

Help welder plan and lay out welding sequence, position pieces to be welded, operate saw, shear, forklift, and crane, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma / GED required
• Exposure to / knowledge of MIG, Dual Shield, and TIG welding preferred
• Knowledge of overhead crane, drill press, and mills
• Previous experience operating forklift and crane equipment preferred
• Ability to learn welding, fitting, and other fabrication applications required
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. up to 2/3 of workday
• Other physical activity may include standing, climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, and frequent use of hands and fingers
