Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is a construction professional responsible for managing the submittal and shop drawing process, procurement of materials, and tracking lead times for a construction company in the Macomb, MI area.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with commercial projects.
• Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of all aspects of Earthwork, Underground, Concrete Foundations and/or Flatwork.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Pro Contractor, or preferred estimating software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in a written format.
• Strong analytical skills, pay attention to detail, solid multi-tasking skills and able to follow through and meet strict public due dates.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent mathematical skills for calculations and quantity takeoffs
• Experience with construction estimating software and tools
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and subcontractors
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
