Job Description
MagTech is hiring a Warehouse Technician (Part-Time) near Birmingham, Alabama. The position involves preparing items for shipment, utilizing hand tools, and operating a forklift. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, and the ability to lift up to 75lbs.
Requirements
- Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare items for shipment
- Perform a variety of roles in the repair branch to keep product flowing
- Utilize hand tools to build crates to ship freight carrier
- Secure items by strapping to pallets
- Update item status in enterprise system
- Input necessary data into vendor systems (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS Worldship, Purolator, etc.)
- Log in and Clean repairs
- Wash and paint final product prior to shipping
- Stage repairs in sequence according to the schedule
- Working with Shop foreman perform 5S activities to assure an organized and clean working environment.
- Operate a forklift
- Receive jobs from customers walk-ins and Account Managers
- Place job tags on items
- Paint components in preparation for shipping
- All other duties as assigned
