Job Description
The Dy. Manager Sheet Metal will be responsible for technical knowledge in engineering deliverables & Supplier Manufacturing Process for Sheet Metal components, among other tasks.
Requirements
- Thorough in technical knowledge in engineering deliverables & Supplier Manufacturing Process for Sheet Metal components.
- Finalize FTG Requirements and deploy them appropriately.
- Develop the right quality of parts to support desired production levels following APQP process.
- Study drawings to confirm manufacturability.
- Select vendors as per guiding policy for parts.
- Plan processes at supplier end and prepare PFC and control plan.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders.
- Cover applicable elements of PPAP and PSW.
- Run PPAP trial and check parts for approval.
- Meet Gateways as per MPDS targets for projects.
- Get involved in project feasibility studies.
- Ensure 100% GR acceptance for parts after PPAP approval.
- Close DFM, VOB, TKO, etc., on time.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and deploy processes and tools for component development at supplier end.
- Improve supplier performance, QCD Targets.
- Support CRUSADE initiatives.
- Drive IMCR/Ideation initiatives.
- Solve problems using 8D Approach.
- Support pricing cell in cost estimation activities component-wise & detailed costing of components/new parts.
