Job Description
The Assistant Wilderness Director will supervise Wilderness Cabin Leaders, oversee the whole summer camp program, and maintain the spiritual welfare of campers and staff. They will also assist with evening programs, clean-up, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Positive attitude and ability to take a leadership role
- 21+ years of age preferred
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience and previous knowledge of camp activities
- Ability to use positive behavior management techniques with campers
- Ability to adapt to difficult situations with a sense of maturity and safety
- Ability to live and thrive in an outdoor, wilderness education setting
- Supportive of The Salvation Army's mission
