Lead Cook

The Lead Cook is responsible for creating and preparing a well-balanced and attractive meal service for clients at The Salvation Army's Older Alaskans Program and McKinnell House Homeless Shelter. The position requires a high school diploma, 3-5 years of experience as a Lead Cook, and a current Serve Safe certificate. The Lead Cook will oversee production for high volume kitchen preparing 500+ meals per day, maintain quality food standards, and supervise kitchen staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 3-5 years' experience as a Lead Cook
• Current Serve Safe certificate or willing to acquire within 60 days
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to lead the work of the central kitchen staff
• Current Alaska driver's license with acceptable driving and criminal history records
