Program Aide

The Program Aide will provide on-demand support for the homeless shelter program at The Salvation Army Tacoma Corps in Tacoma, Washington. They will work as needed to cover for employees who are on leave, sick, or on vacation, and will be responsible for various tasks such as providing assistance to residents, maintaining facilities, and responding to emergency situations.

Requirements

• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new information/skills
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the comprehensive mission of The Salvation Army
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a challenging environment and maintain poise under pressure
• Ability and willingness to keep information confidential
