The Summer Dining Hall Lead Maintenance is a temporary/seasonal position at Camp Arnold, a Salvation Army camp in Eatonville, WA. The role involves leading the dining hall staff, maintaining cleanliness, and providing spiritual support to the team. Requirements
- Maintain a valid Washington State Food Worker Card
- Be responsible for the spiritual welfare of the Kitchen Staff and participating in daily meetings
- Lead VIP campers with table set up and cleaning
- Operate with the kitchen staff as one team
- Lead dining hall staff with cleaning and preparation for next meal
- Stock and replenish the snack table and coffee bar as needed
- Attend and participate in evening programs and spiritual activities
- Maintain a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters
- Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each session and at the end of the summer
- Prepare and deliver the Dining Hall Lead Maintenance camp brief at the end of the summer
- Assist with evening cabin supervision
- Participate with the meal count for USDA at the start of each meal time
- Ensure that the Staff Kitchen and snack table is kept clean, stocked and well managed
- Be an appropriate & effective example for both campers and staff members, exhibiting Christ-like conduct, concern, and service
- Report any suspected child abuse issues to the Assistant Camp Administrator and take necessary actions to report it properly
- Report general property maintenance issues to Food Service Manager
- Be present and participate in camp wide evening Programs
- Any other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager or Camp Administrator
