Solutions Engineer (Sustainability) - USA (m/f/x)

Makersite is seeking a Solutions Engineer (Sustainability) to join their growing team in Chicago. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in LCA, sustainability, and compliance, and will be responsible for supporting sales engagements and establishing credibility with potential clients. This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary, performance-based bonuses, comprehensive health benefits, and 25 days PTO.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of domain experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or environmental sustainability (carbon reporting/emission), with significant software solution engineering experience.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and platforms used in LCA and sustainability assessments.
• Strong pre-sales experience, including preparing and delivering technical demos and presentations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work effectively with international teams, especially European resources.
• Experience transitioning from consultancy or scientific roles to engineering, with a focus on pragmatic problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new products and domains.
• Residing in and legally permitted to work in the US (Chicago specifically).
