Analyst

The New York County District Attorney’s Office has openings for Analysts in the Police Accountability Unit. Analysts will provide analytical support, as well as litigation and administrative support, to Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) in the unit. They will investigate and prosecute cases involving excessive use of force, perjury, bribery, and other criminal misconduct on the part of law enforcement officers.

Requirements

• Working directly and independently with ADAs and the NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau, Department of Investigations, Civilian Complaint Review Board, and other local, state, and federal external partner agencies on long term investigations and prosecutions of PAU cases.
• Conducting preliminary review of civilian complaints of police misconduct reported to PAU to determine whether they merit further investigation.
