Communications Specialist needed to support development and execution of external and internal communications strategy. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the media landscape and brings excellent writing skills, sharp media instincts, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in public relations or communications
- Direct experience pitching and working with journalists; familiarity with international media outreach is a plus
- Experience supporting consumer brands within grooming, beauty, CPG or lifestyle categories preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain media relationships across lifestyle, trade, business, and culture verticals
- Strong analytical skills and comfort managing reporting, media tracking, shipment coordination, and performance analytics
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt messaging across audiences
- Proficiency in PR tools and databases; experience with platforms such as Muck Rack, Business Wire, and Brandwatch preferred
- Highly organized, accountable, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
