Software Development Engineer I, Android, Auto Integration

Mapbox is looking for a Software Development Engineer I to develop software for next-generation automotive navigation systems. The ideal candidate is a fast-learning team player with good communication and collaboration skills, and experience or strong interest in software development and customer-facing projects.

Requirements

• Learn and understand the basic requirements of our automotive solutions
• Write clean, fast code to integrate various data inputs required for our automotive navigation system product offerings
• Support performance tuning of the automotive navigation experience
• Work closely with internal teams to learn and apply best practices for cross-platform API design and performance optimization
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure best practices for cross-platform API design and performance tuning
• Investigate and triage technical issues between Mapbox, customers, and Tier 1 partners
• Improve the product’s performance, stability, maintainability, and simplicity
