Job Description
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as a Deputy Sheriff Trainee. The ideal candidate will have integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to use good judgment while diffusing situations, resolving conflict, and serving others and the community.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be twenty (20) years and six (6) months of age at the time of application, and 21 years of age prior to the completion of the Sheriff's academy
- Must meet Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) standards
Benefits
- Starting salary of $68,640 plus a $7,500 Sign On Incentive
- Up to $35.10 per hour upon successful completion of the Deputy Sheriff Academy
- Up to $70,000 during the first full year of employment
- Education reimbursement up to $5,250 annually
- 3 weeks of vacation in the first year
- Up to 6 weeks of paid parental leave
- Relocation assistance up to $7,500 for successful candidates residing outside of Maricopa County
