Preschool Assistant Teacher (Aide)

Mariners Church Preschool is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to support teachers in creating a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom environment for children aged birth to 5 years old.

Requirements

• Support the teacher in creating a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom where children feel loved, safe, and encouraged to grow.
• Assist in implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities and daily routines.
• Provide hands-on support with classroom set-up, clean-up, and maintaining a safe, organized environment.
• Supervise children during play, snack, rest, and transition times, ensuring safety and positive interactions.
• Build caring, supportive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Model Christ-like behavior and share the love of Jesus in age-appropriate ways.
• Assist with child assessments, record keeping, and preparation of learning materials as directed by the teacher.
• Work collaboratively with your co-teachers and the MCP team to provide high-quality care and learning experiences.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as needed.
