Senior Claims Adjuster

Join Markel as a Senior Claims Adjuster in the Energy, Construction and Crisis Management claims team, leading and driving claims forward in a proactive manner. The role involves handling energy, construction and political violence claims, developing junior talent, and assisting with ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience of leading and management of strategy on a portfolio of energy, construction and or political violence claims
• Ability to identify and discuss the most common areas, trends in claims causation and analyse the portfolio to assist in profitability of the portfolio
• Confidently analysing and interpreting data to improve underwriting capabilities
• Understand customer needs and actively solicit and act upon feedback, providing solutions to problems
• Ability to gain strong understanding of underwriting and claims business plans and how claims actions impact overall company performance
• Experience mentoring and developing junior members of the claims team
• Background and knowledge in first party energy claims is required. Specific knowledge in political violence and construction claims is preferred but not essential
