Job Description
Building Engineer IV responds to guest repair requests, performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, and identifies and operates shut-off valves. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, and hotel engineering/maintenance. The candidate must display thorough knowledge of building systems, emergency response, and building documentation, as well as solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Certificate in two-year technical diploma program for HVAC/refrigeration
- Extensive experience and training in general maintenance (advanced repairs), electrical or refrigeration
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- License or certification in refrigeration or electrical (earned, or currently working towards receiving)
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
