Job Description
The Chief Engineer is responsible for attending to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, and carrying out complex repairs with little to no supervision. The role requires advanced knowledge of engineering computer programs, ability to train and mentor other engineers, and adherence to company and safety policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
- Extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, parts inventory and requisition, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
