Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of efficient data flows and infrastructure within our data platform. This position will be based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania as a hybrid role that has a requirement of working three days a week in the office.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Romanian
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles, including leadership or team management experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with advanced scripting and automation skills
- Extensive experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, and cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proven experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/DataOps methodologies
- Ability to identify and proactively solve complex data-related problems
- Databricks Certification
- Experience with DBT
- Passion for growth and learning, both personally and for your team
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks and metadata management
- Strong ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
