Job Description
Join our team as a CNC Operator 1st Shift at Martin Sprocket & Gear, where you'll work with precision and innovation to produce quality mechanical power transmission components. You'll operate CNC Lathe and Mill machines, optimize setup times, and follow in-process part inspection protocols.
Requirements
- CNC Operation: Set up full production cycle and operate CNC Lathe and Mill machines
- Machine Optimization: Optimize setup times, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and maximize machine utilization
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand blueprints and route instructions
- GD&T Application: Apply expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Program Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments
- Inspection Process: Follow in-process part inspection protocols and report non-conformance issues to the Supervisor/Lead
- Collaborative Communication: Coordinate with superintendents, managers, production control, and quality personnel to resolve quality concerns
- Safety Compliance: Work safely and consistently wear required PPE throughout the shift
- Shift Documentation: Record and document issues for a seamless shift transition
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance checks and document findings
